  • Total Time: 23 minutes
  • Yield: 12 donuts

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon xanthan gum (if not included in flour blend)
  • ½ cup dairy-free milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon sugar or melted chocolate for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and xanthan gum.
  2. In another bowl, combine the dairy-free milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Let the dough rest for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Shape the dough into donuts and place them in a lightly oiled donut pan.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Air fry the donuts for about 5-8 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar or drizzle chocolate if desired.

Notes

Test bake one donut first to adjust cooking time for your air fryer. Cover warm donuts with a towel after cooking to keep them steamy.
