Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons bovine gelatin (unflavored)
  • 1 cup cold water (for blooming)
  • 2 cups hot liquid (not boiling, e.g., herbal tea or black tea)

Instructions

  1. Bloom the gelatin by pouring 1 cup cold water into a bowl and sprinkling the gelatin over the top evenly. Let sit for 5-8 minutes.
  2. Heat your main liquid by warming 2 cups of your chosen liquid, ensuring it is hot but not boiling.
  3. Dissolve by pouring the hot liquid into the bloomed gelatin and stirring until fully dissolved.
  4. Taste and tweak the flavor by adding lemon, salt, or sweetener as desired.
  5. Chill the mixture by pouring it into a dish or molds and refrigerating for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  6. Serve by cutting into cubes or unmolding, preferably served with a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt on the side.

Notes

For best results, bloom gelatin in cold water and avoid boiling to maintain texture and flavor.
