- 1 packet or 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
- 1 cup hot water (not boiling)
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 to 2 teaspoons zero-calorie sweetener (adjust to taste)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice (optional)
- Optional: 1 scoop unflavored collagen peptides or a half scoop of mild protein powder
Instructions
- Pour the hot water into a bowl or large measuring cup.
- Sprinkle gelatin on top and whisk until it fully dissolves.
- Stir in sweetener and citrus if using.
- Add cold water and whisk again.
- If adding collagen, stir it in now; if using protein powder, whisk slowly to avoid clumps.
- Pour into a glass dish or silicone molds.
- Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours, until fully set.
Notes
For a smooth texture, whisk a little longer than you think necessary. Using silicone molds adds a fun touch.
