- 2 cups water, divided
- 3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin (or 4 packets)
- 1 to 2 teaspoons matcha powder (start with 1)
- 2 to 4 tablespoons sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, or a zero-calorie sweetener)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Pour 1 cup of cool water into a bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin over the top and let it sit for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Warm the other 1 cup of water in a small pot until it is hot but not boiling.
- Mix matcha with 2 to 3 tablespoons of the hot water in a mug until smooth.
- Add the bloomed gelatin to the pot and stir until fully dissolved.
- Stir in sweetener, vanilla, and the matcha mixture. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Pour into gummy bear molds or a small dish. Chill for 2 to 3 hours until firm.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days. Keep dry and avoid strong odors to preserve the gummies.
