Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free flour blend
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup plant-based milk (almond, oat, or coconut)
  • 1/4 cup melted vegan butter or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal (optional, or other egg replacers)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the gluten-free flour blend, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the plant-based milk, melted vegan butter, apple cider vinegar, and flaxseed meal.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a sticky dough forms.
  5. Keep your hands wet to shape the dough into small balls.
  6. Place the dough balls close together in a greased baking dish.
  7. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Brush the tops with melted vegan butter before serving.

Notes

For best results, use a gluten-free flour blend that includes xanthan gum or guar gum. These rolls can be frozen after baking.
