Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain, reserving a cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add the minced garlic.
- Sauté the garlic until fragrant but not browned, about 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp and cook until opaque, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and reserved pasta water, mixing until well combined.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and serve hot with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
Notes
For a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes while sautéing the garlic. Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor and texture.
