Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup whole milk or unsweetened alternative
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or fresh chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk together.
  2. Create a well in the center and add eggs, milk, and melted butter; stir until combined.
  3. Add shredded cheddar and optional seasonings; mix until no dry patches remain.
  4. If the dough feels sticky, let it sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Scoop out golf-ball sized portions and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
