Ingredients
Scale
- 1 gluten free baguette or sub roll
- 3 tbsp butter or dairy free spread, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mozzarella or dairy free cheese slices, cut into thin strips
- Sliced black olives for eyes
- Pinch of parsley or chives (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the gluten free baguette in half lengthwise.
- Spread the softened garlic butter generously on both halves.
- Lay the cheese strips in a messy, crisscross pattern over the top.
- Add two olive slices for eyes on each piece.
- Place in the oven and bake until the cheese is melty and golden, about 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Notes
Don’t stress about the cheese placement; it’s OK for it to look messy! If the bread is hard, warm it before slicing. Leftover bread should be kept at room temperature, not refrigerated.
